BONHAM, Texas (KTEN) -- Renovation work on the historic Fannin County Courthouse building has faced constant delays.

The work was scheduled to be complete in February. Now the completion date has been moved back to December.

Breathing new life into the building that dates back to 1888 has already cost taxpayers more than $20 million, and Fannin County Auditor Alicia Whipple said the contingency fund  we're told the contingency fund is about to run out.

 

The completion date for renovations at the Fannin County Courthouse has been pushed back to December 2021.
