Tuesday Evening - Temperatures will cool into the low 90's this evening. Mostly clear skies remain through this evening into tomorrow. Saharan dust is making its way into Texoma causing poor air quality, but vibrant sunsets.

Looking Ahead - Temperatures will be in the upper 90s and triple digits through Thursday. Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings have been issued for Wednesday. Heat index values of 107-110 are expected. Right now July 4th is dry. Low end rain chances start late Thursday night into Friday afternoon. The rain and clouds should clear out Friday evening, but rain chances return Saturday through next Tuesday. A cold front will lower temperatures into the low 90s Friday through the beginning of next week with rain totals of .25"-1.5".

Tracking the Tropics - Hurricane Beryl is currently a Category 4 Hurricane. It was the earliest storm to reach Category 5 in Atlantic history. Beryl will move west towards Jamaica and then on to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico by Friday. Life threatening storm surge is expected in Jamaica along with winds up to 135 mph and torrential rainfall. Hurricane Beryl is slated to weaken as it heads toward the Yucatan Peninsula later this week. This storm will then move back into the Gulf. Uncertainty remains on its direct impact to the South Texas Coast, but heavy rainfall is likely moving into next week.
